Team Up with SeamedUP: Stitched by Me

June is a big supporter of SeamedUp.com - here's a bit about her, and her blog, Stitched by Me.

June says: "I love any and all kinds of crafts. I dabble in several hobbies and consider myself an expert in none ~ I just enjoy them. I hope to make my blog a diary of my projects as I complete them. I get a lot of inspiration reading blogs of those who are more crafty & artistic than I am and I hope others will find at least a little bit of inspiration here.

I have been trying to participate in a monthly Friday Night Sew In, which I have links to on my blog. It is interesting how committing by signing up can be such a motivator to spend precious time with my sewing machine.

She continues: "In the past, I have been a garment sewer, making simple outfits for myself and then for my boys, years ago, when they were little. Machine embroidery has been my biggest interest for the past few years. I have only recently developed an interest in quilting and am an absolute beginner. I have only completed a couple of small, easy "quilty" type of projects (so far!)." Check out her blog here.

Team Up with SeamedUP: 120 Blocks

Gretchen is a big supporter of SeamedUP.com.

Here's a bit about her, and her neat blog, 120 Blocks, that chronicles her quest to quilt every block in Marsha McCloskey's Block Party: A Quilter's Extravaganza of 120 Rotary-Cut Block Patterns.

Gretchen says:

"Last year, I learned (much to my surprise) that I really like to hand piece. I learned this by accident when my boss at work (I'm sort of a help desk) told me that I should bring something to do when I come to work so I wouldn't get bored waiting for someone to come for help.

At that point I was about three months behind in the Fat Quarter Shop Designer Mystery Block of the Month so I decided to start sewing those together by hand. This was September 2009. By the end of May 2010, I had completed that Block of the Month top, having hand pieced it, realizing that I really like to hand piece.

Then I started looking around for what I should do next. Two years previously, my daughter had given me the book Marsha McCloskey's Block Party: A Quilter's Extravaganza of 120 Rotary Cut Block Patterns. I decided to make one of each block using Christmas fabrics and hand piecing each one and blogging about each one. This project seems to be going slowly since I am currently only on block number 22, but I am enjoying it."

Team Up with SeamedUP: Momotaro Makes

Momotaro Makes is a big fan of SeamedUP.

Here's a bit about Andrew, and his blog:

"I started my blog, Momotaro Makes, to share my love of fabric and quilting. There are so many fabulous quilting/fabric blogs out there and I am constantly being inspired by them, so I figured I should share some of my own work with the world. What I am trying to do is to post each week about a project I'm working on, some new fabric I'm excited about, and any projects I finished recently."

He continues: "I used to live in Japan and I was back recently to visit and while there, I picked up some great Japanese fabrics, so you'll probably see those fabrics featured in my various projects. The name I chose, Momotaro, is the name of a famous Japanese folk tale and it can be translated as "Peach Boy". I really like peaches!"

Projects Now Attached to Fabrics

A new feature was launched yesterday! It is still in the baby stages and needs to be dressed up a bit. Hopefully by the end of the weekend it will be gorgeous!

So, what is it?! The Fabric pages got a bit of a face lift. The info is displayed a bit more cleanly and now there is a tab to see the fabric details and pictures. But there is also a tab for PROJECTS! This will show you any projects that users have uploaded and used this fabric on.

From this projects tab you can click on the project to see all the details. And, you can click on the user to see their profile.

I will add the same feature for patterns soon. I am also hoping to add a tab for "users with this stashed or in their library" and "who has this UP for trade". But, the SeamedUP Feature wish list is so long and there is so little time....

Here is a screenshot, so you can see what I am talking about.
